It may seem like Taylor Swift has had a pretty impressive year every year since she hit it big, but 2012 was special. And that’s just her 22nd year in a nutshell.

She kicked the year off by having her single Mean win Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Riding the success of her first fragrance Wonderstuck, she released line number two, Enchanted.

3. Stayed Safe & Sound

She recorded Safe & Sound with The Civil Wars for The Hunger Games soundtrack, showing a more folk-side to her.

4. Got Punk’d By the Biebs

Kicking off the reboot of MTV's Punk'd, Justin Bieber pulled the ultimate prank of Taylor, having her almost in tears.

5. Got Animated For The Lorax

She played the voice of Audrey in Dr. Seuss' The Lorax alongside Zac Efron.

Showing off her charitable side, she donated $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.

Dream come true for Taylor. She shared the stage with her idol and legend James Taylor.

Giving her acting chops another whirl, she landed the role of Joni Mitchell in an upcoming biopic.

12. Started Dating a Kennedy

Off the market again! But this time she fell for 18-year-old high school senior Conor Kennedy.

13. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Was Big

Her first single off Red We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together became her first number one on the Billboard Hot 100, also recording the highest ever one-week sales figures for a female artist.

14. Fun 2012 VMA Performance

She closed out the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards by giving an energetic performance of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

15. Released Red

She released her fourth studio album Red to rave reviews.

16. Broke Up With a Kennedy

Also that same week, she split from Conor due to her hectic schedule.

17. Broke Major Records With Red

Within the first week, Red sold 1.21 million copies, making it the highest opening in a decade!

18. Had Her Face On a Pizza Box

To help promote her album Red, she teamed up with Papa John's to help throw Taylor Swift-inspired pizza parties and even have the album delievered to your doorstep.

19. Started Dating Harry Styles

After this rumor swirled for months, it was pretty obvious that these two were definitely together following her X-Factor performance and their late night NYC hotel visits.

20. Dramatic AMA Performance

Taylor put on a theatrical performance of I Knew You Were Trouble, filled with fantastic costumes, choreography and backdrops.
