Plenty of stars became household names during 2012. Um, hello? Jennifer Lawrence, anyone? Now it's time for a new batch of actors and musicans to come in and make a name for themselves in entertainment. From TV and movie stars to singers that are ready to step out from the shadows, these young stars are bound to become the Hollywood stars of 2013.

AnnaSophia Robb

Breakout Project: She'll be stepping into the shoes (Manolo Blahnik to be exact) of Sarah Jessica Parker as a young Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries. Do we have a future Blake Lively on our hands?

Benedict Cumberbatch

Breakout Project: Nominated for a 2012 Emmy Award for his work in the BBC's Sherlock, he'll be keeping himself busy within the next year with plenty of projects in the pipeline. But it's his role in Star Trek: Into the Darkness that will for sure make him a blockbuster star.

Chloe Moretz

Breakout Project: Sure, most of us know who Chloe is, but its her role in the remake of Carrie that will put her into the leading actress category.

Breakout Project: Known for his role as Charles Brandon on The Tudors, he'll become the ultimate superhero -- a.ka. Superman -- in Man of Steel.

Breakout Project: Um, she's starring in Are We Officially Dating? with Zac Efron. Lucky girl!

Nicholas Hoult

Breakout Project: This guy has been around for quite some time, even back when he was a little guy in About a Boy with Hugh Grant. Along with dating the Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence, the zombie rom-com Warm Bodies will make 2013 his breakout year.

Saoirse Ronan

Breakout Project: You may know her as Susie Salmon in the super-creepy-but-also-extremely-sad The Lovely Bones, or as the kickass teen assassin in Hanna. But move over Kristen Stewart! She's taking on the lead role in Stephenie Meyers' latest film adaptation, The Host.


Alexandra McDermott

Breakout Project: Being named Nylon magazine's "Band Crush," Alexandra had the honor to perform at New York Fashion Week 2012, catching her lots of attention.

Becky G

Breakout Project: This girl is definitely the next big songwriter! She worked on Cher Llyod's "Oath," opened up for Justin Bieber on his Believe tour AND collaborated with Cody Simpson on "Wish U Were Here." Expect to hear even more from this 15-year-old!

Carly Rose Sonenclar

Breakout Project: Britney Spears crowned her the "little diva" on Season Two of The X-Factor. While she may have been runner-up on the show, she's bound to create her own path in 2013.

Conor Maynard

Breakout Project: Conor has already made a name for himself across the pond and now he's ready to take on the U.S.! He closed out 2012 by performing at Z100's Jingle Ball in NYC, making room for 2013 to be the year of Conor!

Ester Dean

Breakout Project: Talk about the ultimate songwriter! Ester has written music for artists like Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Britney Spears and more. Plus, she starred alongside Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect. She's currently working on her debut album Story Never Told.

Ed Sheeran

Breakout Project: 2012 was the year of "Allow me to introduce to you Ed Sheeran." 2013 will be the year that Ed becomes a household name. Writing music for Taylor Swift and One Direction, he'll embark on Taylor's North American Red Tour, which is bound to grow his fan base even further.
