All hail Blue Ivy Carter! Beyonce and Jay-Z (and the rest of the world) are celebrating their daughter’s first birthday today, and why today isn’t a national holiday is beyond us.

Within the past year, Baby Blue has become the celebrity child of 2012. All eyes were on Beyonce’s growing bump ever since she dropped that microphone and flaunted it for all to see at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Or how about the chaos that ensued on January 7th, 2012, when B.I.C. was born?

Blue has accomplished more in one year than Suri Cruise or one of those Jolie-Pitt kids could ever imagine. In fact, here at five of her greatest accomplishments. Way to go, Blue!

1. Being Born

Bey and Jay have always been considered a “power couple” and might as well be royalty in the U.S. Blue being born is and always will be her greatest achievement -– ever.

2. Sets a Twitter Record – Before She Was Born

Beat this one, Justin Bieber. When Beyonce announced that she was expecting at the 2011 MTV VMAs, the news became the most tweeted about event at 8,868 tweets per second.

3. Sets a Billboard Chart Record

Just two days after her arrival, Jay-Z headed straight to the studio to record “Glory,” which features the sounds of Blue cooing and crying. The song landed at number 74 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts, making Baby Blue the youngest person ever to be on the charts!

4. Becomes Most Watched Baby of 2012

Move over, Suri. Instead of cashing in on their daughter’s picture-perfect face, Beyonce and Jay-Z headed to Tumblr show off their new bundle of joy to the world. What followed was constant paparazzi shots of Blue’s feet, the back of her head, or completely wrapped up in her mother’s arms. Basically it was almost impossible to get a shot of her face.

5. Becomes the Most Powerful Baby of 2012

Come on, we don’t call her Queen B for nothing. Also, Jay-Z’s last album with Kanye West was called Watch the Throne. The girl has got some power and she’s only one!
