It was a family filled weekend for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who spent time with their daughters Violet and Seraphina in celebration of Seraphina's fourth birthday.

The couple is likely to have a busy few weeks coming up, with Ben and his film Argo getting so much hype this awards season. So this might have been a great weekend to take off and have some fun and relaxation time!

They started off by hitting the ice skating rink on Friday, where mom and dad watched on as Violet and Seraphina laced up and took some skating lessons.

While Seraphina looked comfy in gray sweats and a cute pink tee, Violet dressed up for the occasion in a matching, red skirt-and-shirt ensemble. Unfortunately, the couple's third child, Samuel, was too young for the ice skating outing, being less than a year old. The girls, though, did do some serious bonding with mom and dad -- and it's pretty much too adorable!

On Sunday, the fun continued when Ben and Jennifer threw Seraphina a birthday party at Kidsville USA in Santa Monica, California. Seraphina was dolled up in a pink princess outfit to spend the day playing with friends and family, including Ben's brother Casey Affleck and his two children.

Argo is nominated for several Golden Globes, which will air live next Sunday. In addition, we'll find out how many Academy Award nominations Ben's film receives when the announcements are made this coming Thursday.
