It wasn't easy, but Drew Barrymore says she's never felt better about her personal life.

2012 was a big year for the actress as she got married last June to Will Kopelman and became a mom last September to daughter Olive. But in a recent episode of Oprah's Next Chapter, Drew said she's still aware of her wild child days that landed her in rehab at age 11 and is determined to make sure Olive doesn't follow suit.

Drew said she plans to simply be honest with Olive about her drug past and instill a sense of self-worth in her. "I will absolutely instill in her [Olive] that you cannot be ashamed of the journey that it took, you know, to get where you are if you are proud of yourself," she said. "But I will also try to instill on her that I did not have guidance and that is why I lived my life that way."

But for now, she's simply enjoyng being a new mom and spending time with Olive every day. "It's like having the worst crush of your life!" she explained. "I drive home with heart palpitations, like, I can't wait to get to her. I think, 'You know, is she gonna call? Will she ask me to spend the night?'"
