Twilight fans might have wanted to see Robert Pattinson kick Kristen Stewart to the curb last summer, but it's safe to say that movie studios didn't!

Forbes has released their list of list of Hollywood’s highest-grossing romantic couples, which looked at the total earnings of films that onscreen pairs have made over the last three years. And while it's not a surprise that Rob and Kristen were at the top of the list, their box office earnings were a staggering $1.7 billion, over nine times that of the second place finishers.

Rob and Kristen had the distinct advantage of releasing more than one film together over the last three years, but all of the Twilight films easily surpassed their competitors on the list in box office sales, not surprisingly.

Coming in second place were Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, whose film The Vow raked in $125 million, while Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler took third place honors with Just Go With It ($103 million). The only other real-life couple to make the top 10 were Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who came in at No. 8 after The Last Song earned $63 million.
