The news that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez called it quits didn’t just shatter our hearts ― the former couple isn’t having the best of days either. With the release of Justin’s Believe: Acoustic album today, he gave us an inside look at what he’s been dealing with since the split with his song “Nothing Like Us.” Spoiler alert: it’s a tearjerker.
Justin is the main focus in the latest issue of Billboard magazine, dishing on the song, how he’s holding up, and where the two stand now. “I’m not in the happiest place that I’ve ever been,” he said after being asked if he’s heartbroken.
“I’m trying to get through what I’m going through. Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”

Just a few weeks ago, Selena put her own spin on Justin Timberlake’s breakup tune “Cry Me a River,” which the Biebs also sang at one of his concerts when Splitsville rumors first started. Or were the two sending a “forget you” message to each other. “There’s so many rumors,” Justin said. “People say I call Selena every day and she won’t pick up the phone or I’m chasing her down, and these are all fake stories.”
