Park City, Utah is currently filled with some of most talented actors working today and a crop of promising new filmmaking talent.

Oh, and Paris Hilton.

Which gritty independent drama that’s sure to become a breakout box office hit and win a slew of Independent Spirit Awards next year is Paris Hilton in, you ask? Why, no gritty independent drama at all. She’s in no movies… and actually has never been associated with anything that could be even remotely referred to as “independent.”

So why is she at Sundance? We’re not alone in asking. That’s the question Sundance founder Robert Redford is asking, too.

"She didn't have anything to do with the films. What movie is she in?” Robert asked at a panel discussion at the fest. “She and her hard-partying, swag-grabbing cohorts have made the festival not much fun. There are too many people who come to the festival to leverage their own self-interest."

Ouch! Tell us how you really feel, Mr. Redford.

Does this mean The Hottie & The Nottie 2 has no chance of ever playing Sundance?

Was Robert right to slam Paris for using his festival as a place to party?
