Rooney Mara came practically out of nowhere to emerge as one of the most sought-after actresses these days, thanks in large part to her awesome portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Now she's starring in a slightly lower-profile project Ain't Them Bodies Saints, starring opposite Casey Affleck as an outlaw. Hollywire's Chelsea Briggs chatted with the stunning starlet at Sundance.

On what drew her to her Saints character, Rooney revealed: "I think it was because of the journey that she goes through, and she's so complex. Where she starts out and where she ends up, there's such a journey there. As an actor, you're always looking for that."

Her plans for the future are pretty vague, as she's currently taking a break with a few already-shot projects awaiting release, but in general: "I just hope to keep getting to do projects that inspire me." We're sure she'll get to do just about whatever she wants!
