Okay, so at this point we know that MTV's cancelled reality show The Hills was totally fake, but the show's second star Kristin Cavallari says she still faces repercussions from how she was perceived on the show and on its predecessor, Laguna Beach.

"The producers were really crappy to me," she tells Splash. "I felt like everybody was against me and manipulating me, and that forced me to be a bitch."

Her bad girl image started in high school, when Laguna portrayed her as the mean girl, rivaling the all-American Lauren Conrad, a feud that was mostly set up by producers.

Although Kristin says she was treated poorly the first time around, she came back for The Hills and "decided to have fun with it." After all, this time around was a little different. "They did everything short of handing us a script," she admits. "I had two lives: My Hills life and my real life. People are always surprised by how nice I am in real life."

Luckily, Kristin's time on reality TV was important in one aspect -- it's how her now fiance, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, first saw her and became interested. Now, they live together in Chicago with their 6-month-old son Camden, relocating to Nashville in the football off-season. "Our world revolves around Camden," Kristin says, adding that she prefers Chicago over LA because "people want to get to know you for you. I feel like I can just breathe."
