Black will always be in style, from the little black dress to the classic black heel. But stars have decided to lighten up this spring, with white pumps strutting all over Hollywood! The famous feet of everyone from Lea Michele to Zoe Saldana have been wearing this trend from one red carpet to the next in a variety of outfits.

If the thought of white pumps sounds a little 90s to you, have no fear. We’ll show you the many different patterns and colors that match perfectly in this week’s Style Study!

Lea Michele

Lea shows us that she has no fear when it comes to lots of color at the 2013 TCA Winter Press Tour in this yellow ensemble. White heels with black detail makes for the perfect spring attire.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Salanda kept the shoe trend going at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards, wearing white pumps with green piping to match her green-and-white nautical-inspired dress.

Rose Byrne

Rose went for an effortless look in these white and gold pumps and a black-and-silver Chanel dress. She balanced the lighter hue off with a match white box clutch.

Kerry Washington

Kerry’s choice of white pumps to go with her cream-colored checked dress at the Django Unchained Berlin photocall was the best match. A nude-colored shoe would have been too much for the look.

Solange Knowles

Solange looks adorable in this polka-dot dress with a thin brown belt and her white T-strap heels go perfectly with her look.

Diane Kruger

Black-and-white will always be a classic look and Diane put her own spin on it with this black-and-white printed dress at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty. But no, she didn’t grab those black heels -– she went for the white pumps with black detail to finish it off -- the same ones worn by Lea Michele!
