It’s pretty hard to relate to One Direction when it comes to girls losing their cool every time they're around, traveling the world, and everything else that comes with being in a boy band. Well, except for the Jacksons. They might know a thing or two...
The Jacksons, on tour in the U.K., spoke about the boys and the idea of actually working together with their modern-day across-the-pond counterparts. Yup, the ultimate boy band collaboration!
"Those boys remind me of ourselves so much when we were younger,” Jackie Jackson said to the Daily Star. “I got some songs for them to record too, so we’ll be in touch real soon.”

As exciting as working with the Jacksons is, MTV points out that Jackie wasn’t really responsible for any of the Jackson 5’s greatest hits. He didn’t bring his songwriting skills to the table until their 1977 album Goin’ Places. But hey, maybe he’s improved over the years?
One Direction may be busy globe-trotting for their Take Me Home World Tour and are still enjoying the success of their sophomore album Take Me Home (released back in November), but that doesn’t mean they’re not working on their next project. Producer Julian Bunetta spoke to MTV News about new music from 1D last month, and while he didn’t spill too many details, he did say they're working on some new material!
“I can’t really say, but it’s gonna be pretty cool,” he said. “Obviously we’re working on new music but they didn’t say what their new music is for. It might be for nothing. It might only be for my ears… or it might be something that gets put out for the world to hear. I could just rent my ears out.” We’re totally jealous of your ears, Julian.
