Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are total besties ― even if people like to pair them as the next celebrity couple. But a little friendly competition never hurt anybody! Taylor’s single “I Knew You Were Trouble” has been dominating the radio waves and sure, she does a fantastic job singing it. But Ed put his own spin on the single and now we want to know which one is, well, better!

Ed stopped by The Hamish & Andy radio show and was put to the ultimate test ― take on Taylor’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” acoustic style. Obviously it’s fantastic because it’s Ed (duh) and leaves us thinking he should sing every song in the entire world.

We’ll probably get the chance to hear a duet when Ed and Taylor hit the road this spring for the Red tour, where he’ll also be hard at work putting together his sophomore album. He recently announced the release date February 17th, 2014 (so far away!), but he doesn’t know much more than that. “My second album has taken full shape recently,” he told Noise11.com. “I don’t know if there will be any collaborations on it yet. I have a name for it but I can’t tell you the name just yet. But it doesn’t start with a letter.” Hm, could it be "-"... or is that just too predictable?
