Backtracking to not one but two times Jake has thrown shade at One Direction, he insists that it wasn’t a personal dig at the boys. “It’s not personal, it’s just that for somebody who writes music it can be quite disheartening to see some act that doesn’t write their music to be doing so well on the charts,” Jake clarified.

He continued, “Somebody compared them to The Beatles and, in my mind, that’s a ridiculous statement and I didn’t particularly like that. But at the same time, people are also going to say things and I only said my thoughts. It’s only an opinion and I didn’t think it was going to go worldwide.”

Alright, so we can understand his frustration... but can’t we all just get along?
