It’s not unheard of to fall asleep on the job. But when your job is a raunchy sex scene in a highly-anticipated thriller, maybe it is pretty unusual.
A certain Spring Breakers star dozed off during the simulated sexual encounter while shooting the movie.
Awkward much? Well, Gucci Mane doesn't seem to be too embarrassed about it. His simple explanation? "I was tired." Well, that makes a certain kind of sense, now, doesn't it?
"I had a concert down there in St. Petersburg, one of the days I had to shoot a scene," Gucci Mane told Vulture. "Same time, same night. We started shooting at ten o'clock in the evening until one or two o'clock. I was extremely tired because Harmony would work for almost 48 hours straight, I think. Even though Harmony is a close friend and a great director, he's a hard boss. Make sure you put that in bold letters."
Just to clarify: Gucci Mane wasn't actually having sex with his co-star. But he'd like to! "They just wouldn't let me. It was simulated, but, you know, I wish it wasn't." Considering that he fell asleep during, he should probably just be grateful that it was a scene, or he might have had an angry woman on his hands. (Or lap. Whatever.)
Gucci Mane's sex scene is only one of many reasons why, despite its Disney-friendly stars, Spring Breakers is definitely not for children. Selena Gomez opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about the possibility of her young fans seeing a movie that wasn't intended for them:
"There’s gonna be the intrigued preteens that are gonna want to sneak in and see the movie, and that’s obviously something I can’t control," she said. "[I can] definitely warn them as best as I can, but the movie is rated R, and it’s kind of a given when you see the trailer that you should be old enough to see the movie."
Do you think many of Selena's young fans will see Spring Breakers anyway?
