Allow us to state the obvious: it's a crazy time to be in Boston...
After the horrific explosions at the Boston Marathon on Monday, we thought we’d seen the worst headlines from the city for a while. But Boston’s terrifying week continues with reports of shootings and more explosives involved in a manhunt for two suspects who are sought in connection with the Marathon bombings.
The governor of Massachusetts has warned Bostonians to stay indoors, and that includes the cast and crew of David O. Russell’s American Hustle, who have been filming in the Boston area this week.
American Hustle is one of the most buzzed-about movies of the year, reuniting David O. Russell with Silver Linings Playbook stars Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Jennifer Lawrence. It also co-stars a couple castmates from David O. Russell's The Fighter, Christian Bale and Amy Adams.

Clearly there’s no shortage of star power on set, but one thing the production could use is a little luck. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie has been shooting in Massachusetts for a month now, and picked back up in Boston two days ago on April 17. Obviously everyone thought the worst was over after Monday’s tragic attack that claimed three people, but now all of Boston is on alert as at least suspect is still at large. Shooting has been suspended on American Hustle until it is deemed safe to be outdoors again.
Details are still being revealed about the manhunt. Last night, a police standoff ended in one suspect being killed, along with an MIT campus police officer. This morning, an explosive was disabled in Boston. Residents have been urged to stay indoors due to the possibility of more explosives and the dangerous suspect still at large.
While in town for the shoot, prior to the standoff, Bradley Cooper was photographed with one of the Boston bombing victims in a hospital.
Stay safe, Boston.
