Season 12 of American Idol is winding down with the contestants getting cut from four to three during tonight’s results show. During last night’s show, the ladies picked two songs to belt out -– one of their choice and one from a one-hit wonder.

Chelsea Briggs caught up with two of our favorite contestants, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison after the show, where they both looked back at their performances that night and chatted about what they plan to bring to the table in order to win the title of America’s Idol.

Angie took the stage to perform Julie London’s “Cry Me a River” and Jessie J’s “Who You Are," and of course we all know what a fan Angie is of Jessie since she chose her tune “Mama Knows Best” for her first audition song!  She earned a standing ovation from the judges for “Who You Are,” which Angie explains was one that she deeply connected with.

“You have to connect to the song,” she says. “I pray, get ready and I realize I’m singing a song that says ‘You have to be true to who you are.’ It’s such a big thing before you’re about to sing, so it’s getting yourself emotionally ready.” Turns out the judges weren’t the only ones who loved her performance –- Jessie J tweeted Angie: “Just watched this. AMAZING!' I am so proud.”

Kree, on the other hand, got some harsher critiques from the four judges when she performed Susan Tedeschi’s “It Hurts So Bad” and Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” Talking the negative feedback, Kree has learned that, at the end of the day, that’s their job.

“I feel like it’s constructive criticism,” she says. “I always take everything that they say to me to heart, whether it’s good or bad, because I respect them and that’s why they’re here.”
