If you aren’t familiar with the vocal ability Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande possesses, well, sit down, open your ears and get ready to have your life changed. Seriously, this girl has some pipes!
We all knew she could sing, especially after her single “The Way” with Mac Miller hit the number one spot on the iTunes chart overnight, but her a cappella version of Whitney Houston’s “I Believe In You & Me” proves that she definitely has a chance at becoming the next "It" girl in pop music.

In a simple black-and-white video, Ariana makes it sound like belting out a Whitney track is a piece of cake and for that, we bow down to you, girl. Plus, there’s no crazy lights or big production –- she just lets her voice take center stage.
Comparisons to both Whitney and Mariah Carey have flattered Ariana in the past. On the American Idol judge, she said, “She’s an inspiration -– she’s the greatest female vocalist, so it was definitely a compliment. Mariah and Whitney Houston were my goddesses growing up.”
But one person that you shouldn't compare Ariana too? Fellow star Selena Gomez! “I don’t really see [the comparison]," she said. "We both started out in children’s television, I think we share that in common and we are both doing music. But we are really nothing alike… If you look at us and compare our sounds, we aren’t that much alike."
