'Tis the season for new music!

While former teen stars like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez are trying to change their image and sound with hotly anticipated upcoming albums, Avril Lavigne, who was also once a teen sensation, is just staying true to herself. Avril released her new single "Here's To Never Growing Up" on Tuesday, and it's pretty much exactly what we'd expect from the pop-rocker -- which means it's probably going to be a hit!

The song encourages letting loose and staying young, making it the perfect anthem for teenagers and college kids who are looking to live it up as summer rolls around. Just like Katy Perry's "T.G.I.F" and Hot Chelle Rae's "Tonight, Tonight," the tune has just the right message to make it a summer smash.

Unfortunately, some haters may say that Avril is outdated, and that her whole attempt at being a punk-rock chick is getting old... but hey, if it's not broken, why fix it, right? The 28-year-old singer has six worldwide #1 singles, so she's obviously doing something right.

This is Avril's first new music release since March 2011. She's been working on her fifth studio album since then, but there's still no confirmation on when exactly she'll share it with the world, although reports say it could be as soon as this summer!
