Jennifer Aniston will do anything for love, but she won't do that.
The actress is reportedly getting married to Justin Theroux in the next few months, but one thing that won't be part of their big day is a prenup. She's worth a reported $300 million, but refuses to sign anything that will protect her assets should they split. That means she could stand to lose half of her income if they divorce!
"Jen's absolutely adamant about not having a prenup. She told several friends, 'I'm choosing love, not money.' It's a sweet and romantic thing to do but a number of friends are desperately worried her decision will come back to haunt her one day," said a source to OK! magazine. "No one doubts that this is a true love match and of all of the guys she's been with, everyone's confident he's a keeper. But to lay everything on the line for him seems an unnecessary risk."
However, Jen simply doesn't want to do anything that would jeopardize the relationship since things are going so well. “I couldn’t be in a relationship without equality, generosity, integrity, spirit, kindness, and humor,” she said.
Despite Jen's admirable stance on the relationship, it seems that Justin is the one who's in favor of a prenup! He asked Jen to draw one up because he doesn't want to be labeled as a gold digger. He reportedly paid for her super-expensive engagement ring on his own and has made it a point to keep their finances separate thus far.
"When he first brought it up she was blown away," said the source. "He's got enough self-assurance to not feel intimidated by her fortune and he wants Jen to know that even if the marriage ends he will never take a dime from her."
Even if Jen loses $150 million, it still wouldn't be the most expensive divorce in Hollywood history. That honor goes to Mel Gibson, who shelled out $425 million last year to his ex-wife after seven children and 31 years of marriage.
The report comes on the heels of rumors that their wedding nuptials have been postponed until late summer, just before Labor Day weekend. The delay comes from differences in opinion between Justin and Jen on how their big day should look. Jen reportedly wants a huge bash with all their friends, while Justin would prefer something more intimate.
