We’ve been anxiously awaiting the new sound Miley Cyrus keeps promising she’s so hard at work on, and now it’s here! (Sort of.)
After getting a taste of her cake-loving side in Borgore’s “Decisions,” we’re getting another artist's track featuring Miley that displays something new from her. That would be the Major Lazer track “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” with vocals by Snoop Lion and Miley. And just as it sounds, it’s a more mature and adult track than the stuff we used to get from the Disney starlet.
“Fill up all the ashtrays,” Miley sings over a reggae beat in this rather mournful track about lost love. “Is there any possibility that everyone feels like me?”
(Well, we’d need to be a little more famous to feel quite like that.)

It’s no surprise at this point that Miley is going for a more adult sound ― just when her fellow Disney stars Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Vanessa Hudgens are doing the same ― and in fact, this track has a few things in common with Selena’s possible Bieber-breakup track “Rule The World.”
Now when will we hear a track that's actually from Miley’s supposedly-forthcoming album?
