Now that spring has sprung (it is official and all), one of the biggest nights in a high schooler’s life is right around the corner –- we’re talking prom season! Now, we already showed you some of the biggest fashion trends on the red carpet last awards season, and now we have a few more to add.

There's one last step in creating that perfect prom look -- how to style your hair and makeup, of course! Here are three more dress trends to be on the lookout for this prom season, along with our dazzling hair and makeup tips to polish off your look, using our favorite stars as inspiration, of course!

Black & White

Black and white is the definition of a classic look. You know what else is classic? A red lip. It’s the chicest way to add a pop of color to a black and white ensemble. Setting your hair in soft, loose curls will give it an elegant but trendy touch. In case you want to keep your hair out of face -– dancing can get a bit crazy –- pulling your hair back in a high ponytail with some romantic curls is the way to go.

Bold Color

Looking to turn heads when you walk into that ballroom? A bold and brightly colored dress is what you'll need! Show off your feminine side with a pink floor-length gown like Nina Dobrev and pull your hair into an up-do. Or for all you risk-takers, try a neon dress like Chloe Moretz. Finish off your look with a nude lip so all the attention is on the dress. But here’s a tip for all you lipstick lovers out there: if you’re wearing a red or pink dress, matching your lip color can add a great touch, too!

Lace is definitely a trend we’ve seen around this spring... it’s another classic and elegant look that anyone can pull off. Keep your makeup soft and romantic with big, bold curls like Miranda Kerr, for a timeless look that will always be in style. For more height, gather your curled hair into and up-do like Selena Gomez, or pull it to the side like Kim Kardashian.
