Occasionally (but very rarely), a sequel is better than the original. We’re hoping that’s the case with RED 2, the follow-up to 2010’s action-comedy about a group of “Retired, Extremely Dangerous” assassins who get pulled back into the madness once more.

Naturally, this sequel doesn’t find Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich hanging out in Arizona drinking iced teas and playing pinochle, like most retirees. They get pulled out of retirement yet again ― and this time, they’re joined by Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Anthony Hopkins plays a looney scientist who is needed to find a missing nuclear device, while Catherine Zeta-Jones is the vampy Miranda Wood, looking very tan and seductive, and causing problems with Bruce Willis and his girlfriend Mary-Louise Parker.

While the first RED was mildly amusing but overall nothing to write home about, this one looks like it takes the comedy of its somewhat elderly assassins even further... particularly with Helen Mirren's character, who manages to look classy even while wielding guns in a speeding car.
