Ladies and gentlemen, the graduating class of 2013.

Eva Longoria joined her fellow students in celebration earlier this week as she took home a degree from Cal State Northridge -- not an honorary one. A real one. The former Desperate Housewives star has been attending classes there for the last three years and graduated with a Master's Degree in Chicano Studies.

Eva received her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, but that was all the way back in 1998. She began the program while she was working on Desperate Housewives and even found time to complete her schoolwork while on set.

"Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my master's degree in Chicano studies! You're never too old or too busy to continue your education!" she wrote on her Who Say site on Wednesday. Several of her former Housewives co-stars also tweeted their congratulations to her, as well as a few others in the Hollywood community.

"She does these things with such ease and grace," wrote Jane Fonda in a blog post. Jane mentioned that Eva auctioned off a date with herself during her charity event at Cannes and then flew back to California the next day to pick up her degree.

Eva's thesis was titled, "Success STEMS From Diversity: The Value of Latinas in STEM Careers." ("STEM" is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and math.)

However, Eva now joins the long list of college graduates with expensive specialty degrees that aren't entirely practical for finding a job in the real world. On the other hand, she's got millions of dollars and a starring role in the upcoming film Crazy Kind of Love to fall back on. We have a feeling she'll be just fine...
