Britney Spears is back! It's been two years since the pop star has released music of her own, but her new song "Ooh La La" from the Smurfs 2 soundtack is here.

Okay, so it's a little bit of a buzzkill that the first new music we're getting from Brit in so long is from the soundtrack to a not-terribly-great children's movie... but it's not completely awful.

Plus, the singer has said herself that the reason she recorded this song in the first place is for her sons, ages seven and six, so at least there's some reasoning behind it. The weird part is: that although this tune isn't totally raunchy like some we've heard from Britney in the past, it's also not exactly 100% child-friendly either. Give it a listen!

Although Britney hasn't put out new music in a while, she has been pretty busy. After working as a judge on The X-Factor last fall, she began putting together her eighth studio album, which is reportedly coming out this fall. Plus, it's not like we haven't heard her on the radio at all in the last two years. She was featured on Will.i.Am's track "Scream and Shout," which made it all the way up to Number 3 on Billboard's Hot 100.

Considering Will and Brit made such a dynamic pair, he'll be producing her next album. He's also been recently working a lot with Miley Cyrus, who will also soon release a highly anticipated album and single.

Britney will not return to Season Three of The X-Factor alongside Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell, but she will be performing a residency in Las Vegas starting this fall. We're not sure "Ooh La La" will make the set list...

What are you hoping for from Brit's next album?
