UPDATE: As it turns out, there might not be a bun in Beyoncé's oven after all. Last Friday, news broke that very reliable sources confirmed that Bey and Jay-Z were expecting their second child (our reported story below) after much, much speculation leading up to that. But one radio DJ is reporting that Jay himself has denied this and Bey posted a pretty mysterious quote on her Instagram that could be addressing it.
First, Jay. Hot 97 morning show co-host Ebro is explaining that he personally emailed Jay-Z to congratulate him on the exciting news, only to receive a reply saying it wasn’t true. Jay apparently wrote, “It’s not true. The news is worse than the blogs.”
Beyoncé also posted a cryptic photo on her Instagram account, only to delete it later. It read, “I can’t stop the rumors from starting, and I can’t really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about.” Hm, interesting, right?
So what’s the truth behind it all? Could Beyoncé really be pregnant but denying it now because it’s too early in the pregnancy? Could she not be and people just want her to be? Until we get an answer straight from Bey and Jay’z mouth -– or until they give us some sort of grand gesture to confirm it -– we’re just going to throw this back into the rumor mill.
So maybe it was actually morning sickness that caused Beyoncé to cancel her show in Belgium this week and not exhaustion. Sources are confirming that Bey is definitely pregnant and expecting her second child with hubby Jay-Z, making this the least surprising pregnancy news of the year.
Rumors have been swirling about a possible pregnancy all week, and Bey cancelling a show from her Mrs. Carter World Tour caused the rumor mill to go crazy with speculation. And while we threw out five possible real reasons she may have called in sick, it turns out it wasn’t the water temperature after all.
