Just days after Glee’s Cory Monteith passed away in a Vancouver hotel, one of his co-stars is speaking publicly about what a kind, fun-loving person he really was.
Jane Lynch stopped by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and started it off by emotionally opening up about the tragic death of her friend. “Cory’s one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light,” she said. “He was one of those guys that… you know, he knew he was breathing rarefied air… the gifts that this wonderful show gave us.”

Calling Cory “generous” and “adventurous,” she added, “I don’t think he left one day unlived… He was a real bright light in our family and we’ve lost a really great guy.”
Cory’s other Glee co-stars have spoken nothing but kind words about the late star, with Dianna Agron releasing a statement, saying, “He was one of the most generous and kind people that I have ever met. He had a smart, curious mind, he was an enormous talent. He was loving to not only me, but my family.”
It was revealed last Tuesday that it was a lethal combination of alcohol and heroin that caused Cory’s death, after battling the addiction for years.
After hearing all the wonderful words that friends and fellow stars have said about Cory, it’s very clear that he’ll be missed by many.
