The status of Miley Cyrus’ engagement to Liam Hemsworth has been the topic of conversation for what seems like forever. While Miley still rocks her ring (when it’s not being “cleaned”) and she still swears that they are totally going through with it, her pal Big Sean may have hinted otherwise.
Miley appeared in Big Sean’s latest music video for “Fire” and over the weekend, the rapper took to Twitter to explain why he wanted her as the video’s leading lady and not a different star, like his girlfriend Naya Rivera. His reasoning may have revealed that Miley and Liam are totally O-V-E-R.

His series of tweets went a little something like this…
“A special video for a special song. I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she's somebody who's had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had. Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire. i think Miley did a great job as a metaphor for strong women, being strong person after heartbreak (hence the burning pic that could symbolize her old romance) , or maybe even deeper problems but in the end remaining as elegant as a rose. It's a cool visual that has a cool concept and meaning to it. Thanks to @MileyCyrus for being down everybody who helped make it happen!”
Hm, maybe we’re reading too much into the tweets but this wouldn’t be the first time that someone spilled the deets on what’s really going on with Miley and Liam. Her pal Snoop Lion revealed last April, “I can’t speak for her, ya know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists. I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music [and] her career.”
