Glee is making its return to TV in little less than a month and star Darren Criss is giving us a sneak peek at what we can expect from the season premiere following a pretty intense cliffhanger.

Kicking off season five with a Beatles tribute episode, Darren reveals that Sue Sylvester will be coming back as principal and her plot to destroy the glee club (that’s been going on throughout the entire series) will continue on. As far as Blaine relationship with Kurt – remember that almost proposal cliffhanger last season?! Yeah, that romantic moment just might finally go down.

We’ve learned that Cory Monteith’s tribute episode will be happening during episode three of season five and during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, cast members admitted that they were currently in the middle of shooting the “tough” episode. “It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me,” Naya Rivera said. “It is the hardest thing to do. It’s been the worst week ever.”

Darren said, “It’s something that needs to happen for the fans. I don’t know, it’s going to be tough. But it will be very poignant and hopefully very moving, and just that: a tribute. Hopefully it will be a good tribute to Cory.”

Chelsea Briggs caught up with Darren at the VMAs and asked him that’s the one lesson’s he’s learned this year, through all the difficult times. “Life is short. For better or for worse.”

Glee premiere on September 26th on FOX.
