Sorry, Robin Thicke, but Billboard has itself a new champion.

Katy Perry knocked Robin's "Blurred Lines" out of the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with her hit single "Roar."

Robin is probably disappointed considering he was just 5 weeks away from breaking the Billboard record for number of weeks at number 1. The record is held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men for their siingle "One Sweet Day" -- which held the #1 spot for 16 weeks.

Katy, on the other hand, was thrilled with the news. She tweeted:

This isn't Katy's first time as Billboard queen. She's had not one, not two, but SEVEN other #1 singles -- starting with "I Kissed a Girl" back in 2008, followed by "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework," "E.T.," "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," "Part of Me" and now "Roar." Whew.

With the way this is going, this pop queen is primed to beat out the likes of Mariah, Madonna and Whitney Houston as the female artist with the most #1 hits.

So while we bask in Katy's victory, let's have yet another listen to her #1 song, shall we?

Congrats, Katy!
