Carrie is hitting theaters on October 18th – just 10 days away, people – and this new marketing campaign is one way to get word out about the film without people actually realizing that that’s what they’re doing.
Since Carrie is based on a teenager with telekinetic powers, this new prank video called “Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise” completely creeps out customers in a New York City coffee shop using what they think are actual powers.

“What if telekinesis was real? How would you react?” the YouTube video’s description reads. “Our hidden camera experiment captures the reactions of unsuspecting customers at a New York City coffee shop as they witness a telekinetic event.” A.k.a. watch customers completely freak the F out and we all sit back and laugh. Showing them set the whole demonstration up beforehand, we can only imagine how completely mind blown and freaked out we would be if we saw this in real life.
