We’ve always loved and appreciated Jennifer Lawrence for being so real in Hollywood – totally best friend material. And her latest quote from Harper’s Bazaar regarding the pressure to be thin in Hollywood just sent our love for her to a whole another level.

Way before she became our favorite badass heroine, Katniss Everdeen, in The Hunger Games, Jennifer was battling other people and Hollywood’s constant pressure on women to be stick-thin. “I was young. It was just the kind of s—t that actresses have to go through,” she told the mag. “Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight. They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. It was just that.”

Years later, Jennifer landed roles in The Poker House and The Winter’s Bone, one that earned her an Oscar nomination. And let’s not forget the film that she got her first Oscar win with, Silver Linings Playbook. Basically, she’s kicking ass in the industry but that doesn’t mean she forgot her past struggles. Even after her success, to this day, that’s something she will never forget; how she was treated by image-obsessed people in the entertainment industry.

“[Someone brought up] that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I’m above it all. ‘You really still care about that?’ Yeah. I was a little girl. I was hurt,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what accolades you get. I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go f—k yourself.’”

And that folks, is why Jennifer should be queen of the world.
