We’re exactly one week away from the release of Katy Perry’s Prism and maybe we’re a little biased since we absolutely adore her and all, but this is definitely on our list of “Albums We’re Stoked to Hear” for 2013 – right alongside One Direction's, of course.

Throughout the past couple of weeks, KP has released a track here and there to give us a taste of what we can expect this time around and today, she released 90-second snippets of each song of the deluxe edition of Prism via iTunes. Prism is filled with anything and everything we should have expect from Katy: it’s fun, it’s playful but she also opens up her soul for those emotional ballads. It’s no Teenage Dream but it’s nice to see Katy do something different, bringing in musical styles from the ‘80s and ‘90s. While there is an album trend with retro sounds/EDM/pop tunes threading it all together, it’s nice that you don’t really hear the same one right after another. She’s switches it up, keeping us on our toes throughout. Our favorites include “Legendary Lovers,” “Dark Horse” and “Ghost,” but “By the Grace of God” is definitely her most vulnerable one of them all.
