Just when we thought August was One Direction month, it turns out that it’s actually November! With their Midnight Memories album release, 1D Day, their brand new single and now the guys have one more event to add – the 2013 American Music Awards.

The fellas have been added to the performers lineup for the evening, joining Miley Cyrus and Florida Georgia Line. First live performance of “Story of My Life” perhaps? 1D are nominated for two awards at this year’s show, including “Favorite Band” and “Album of the Year!”

Along with this exciting news, Directioners have another reason to celebrate today – the one year anniversary of the release of “Little Things!” In fact, #1YearOfLittleThings became a trending topic on Twitter today after the fans wanted to show the guys – and Ed Sheeran, of course – just how much they still love the song, one year later. “Thanks everyone - love the Trend! Has it really been a year?! 1DHQ x #1YearOfLittleThings” the official One Direction Twitter account tweeted.

Crazy it’s been a whole year! It seems like just yesterday we did this special “LM” Hot Minute!
