So what is this “Icon Award” all about? According to the show’s executive producer, the award “was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level. Rihanna’s iconic and innovative sound has enabled her to become one of the most influential and best-selling artists of all time.”

Since Rihanna has been on her worldwide “Diamonds” tour for what seems like an eternity, she would be the perfect for this award! And it’s pretty fitting that she’ll receiving the “Icon Award” just a week after her brand new music video for “What Now,” released today! In the super creepy vid, we watch RiRi do some exorcism-like dance moves and rock the infamous mullet we first saw a couple months ago.
