Okay, maybe the idea of John Mayer and Katy Perry together is starting to grow on us.

The couple, who have been together since 2012, debuted their first music video together, “Who You Love,” Tuesday morning on Good Morning America. The video for the single, which is featured on John’s new album Paradise Valley, shows John and Katy getting all cozy and lovey-dovey together. Along with premiere “Who You Love,” John and Katy sat down and opened up about their relationship and how the two came together for their new song. Talking about “Who You Love,” John explained, “I had this little chorus for years and it was ‘You love, who you love.’ I thought it was always going to be a great thing someday. And then it came out again and sometimes you have to play stuff for people; it’s really nice to have an unbiased ear. And then [Don] said, ‘Why don’t you get Katy to do it?’”

He continued, “My very first thought was, ‘You can’t do that.’ There more I thought about the music part of it, it made sense. Even if I didn’t know Katy, it would have made perfect sense. I went in the other room, called her phone.”

Taking some fan Twitter questions, Katy revealed what the two did for their very first date. “We just went to dinner, like a regular couple,” she said. “We share music as a love together. That’s like a common interest.”
