Today is a good day to blast nothing but One Direction’s Midnight Memories all day long. While we obviously do that every day (duh), today we’re celebrating the fellas and their recently released third album because, yet again, 1D has made history with their music.

Midnight Memories made its debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 546,000 copies in its first week. This achievement makes One Direction the first group to ever have their first three albums debut at the number one spot! How crazy is that?! And to go along with that, MM became the U.K.’s fastest selling album of 2013 and over the past three years!

This news comes after 1D had a hectic week leading up to the album’s November 25th release, with their seven-hour 1D Day, X-Factor appearances and their big night at the 2013 American Music Awards. You know, the night that they performed “Story of My Life” in front of a star-studded crowd and took home two awards? Yeah, that epic night!

One Direction may have been kinda-sorta laying low this week, but they’ll be back in New York City this weekend for their second appearance on Saturday Night Live, with host Paul Rudd. In fact, we learned something about Paul – he’s also a massive Directioner! Just take a look at his promos!
