Yesterday, we reported that Usher and Scooter Braun jetted down to Panama to be by Justin Bieber’s side, with whispers saying that an intervention was going down between the group. And it looks like they’re not the only ones who think the 19-year-old needs some help – his own record label president believes so as well.
Lucian Grainge, the president of Justin’s record label Universal, spoke about the singer and how much help he really needs. “I’m very concerned about him – I’ve been concerned about him for many months, and [Bieber’s manager] Scooter Braun, who I work with very closely and is supposed to be there, is with him at the moment,” he said.
Lucian continued, “This [has] to do with the young man… hopefully, we will all get through to him. You cannot just pick someone up and force them to do something if they are not ready… All of us around him need to take all the responsibility, all the pressure off him and give him support so he can address the issues he has – and he does have issues. And I’d like it to be dealt with.”
While many are standing by Bieber’s side during this time, there’s one person in particular who is doing the completely opposite – Drake Bell. It’s no secret that Drake is not the biggest fan of Bieber’s, having thrown major shade at the singer on Twitter for the past year. He took it one step further by posting a petition on having Justin deported back to Canada on Twitter, writing, “become a part of the movement!!!... SIGN YOUR NAME HERE!!” Kicking the guy while he’s down isn’t exactly the best move, Drake.
Do you think Justin needs an intervention?
And what do you think about Drake posting the petition?
