Ke$ha took a giant step towards recovery as she announced last Friday that she would be seeking treatment for an eating disorder.

In a statement, she said, “I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice. I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder… to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”

As proud as we are for Ke$ha seeking help, reports are surfacing that producer Dr. Luke -- a.k.a. the mastermind behind many of Ke$ha’s hits -- may have spoken some words that triggers the singer’s illness. According to TMZ, it all went down on the set of her “Die Young” music video when Dr. Luke made a harsh comment concerning Ke$ha’s weight, calling her a “f--king refrigerator.” To go along with that, he reportedly spoke to her management team to get her to lose weight. Just awful.

Ke$ha has been under the control of Dr. Luke for some time now, sources saying he insisted her album Warrior be filled with dance and electro songs when she was pushing for a more rock sound. “She’s been in open rebellion against him for a year,” the source said. In fact, the “Free Kesha Luke Creative Freedom movement,” which was started by her fans on Twitter, is growing more and more.

Regardless of this, we’re sending love and warm wishes to Ke$ha during this time. Get well soon girl!
