The Denver Broncos may have had an embarrassing night during Sunday’s Super Bowl, but Bruno Mars certainly benefitted from football’s biggest night! While some people may have had their doubts about him being chosen for this year’s halftime show – especially since Beyoncé killed it last year – he proved them all wrong by bringing in the largest audience in the history of the game!
Let’s look at the facts: according to Nielson data, 115.3 million people tuned in for Bruno and Red Hot Chili Peppers energetic performance. That number tops last year’s number of 110.8 million for Beyoncé and the previous record of 114 million for Madonna’s performance in 2012.

As for the number of people who tuned in to watch the Seattle Seahawks completely blow the Broncos out of the water? 111.5 million – the largest viewing audience in history.
