Okay you guys. Last night’s Oscars was absolutely incredible. We have to say, the acceptance speeches and the performances were our favorite parts. There were so many special moments in the show that we thought we would share a few of our favorites with you!

First off, Patricia Arquette’s acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress had all of us standing on our feet. During her speech, she spoke about equality. Arquette thinks that it is now the time for women and for gender equality and pay equality. You know you said something good, when Meryl Streep and JLo are cheering you on! Check out a video below!

Our second favorite part was Common and John Legend’s performance of “No Glory” from “Selma.” It is no secret that this performance moved a lot of people, which can even be seen from actor Chris Pine shedding a tear or two. Their performance was breathtaking, and was a huge highlight for us! Check out the video below!

Our third and final favorite empowering moment was Graham Moore’s acceptance speech for his win for Best Adapted Screenplay for “The Imitation Game.” We have to say, we might have even gotten a little teary eyed, you guys! Moore went on to describe how he attempted suicide at the age of sixteen because he felt weird and different. He then encouraged those that feel the same as he once did to continue being different, and to own and celebrate it! It even started the hashtag #stayweird that went viral last night.

I mean come on, you guys! These inspirational and empowering moments made the night and the entire Oscars for us.
