No matter if you’re more of a Pink Lady or a T-Bird, a movie-version or musical-version fan, Grease: Live is guaranteed to satisfy fans from every aspect of the legendary musical Grease.

The live production is planning to combine elements from both the stage version and film version of the popular musical, as well as showing some new changes made specifically for this production. Grease: Live plans to feature two songs from the musical version of the show, “Those Magic Changes” and “Freddie My Love,” which will be sung by Scream Queens Keke Palmer.

They also adding a new song for the character Frenchy, played by pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen. Musical fans have no fear, the song is written by the team who created the 2009 Tony Nominated Musical Next to Normal, which starred Aaron Tveit. Tveit is playing Danny Zukko (origianally played by John Travolta) in the upcoming show, and he has previously starred in GracelandGossip Girl, and the recent film version of Les Miserables.

This star studded cast continues with former Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough taking on the infamous role of Sandy, and High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens playing the role of badass Rizzo. Carlos Penavega from the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush is starring as Rizzo’s on-again off-again boyfriend Kenickie, and Jordan Fisher from Disney’s Teen Beach is also grabbing a leather jacket as one of the T-Birds. DNCEMario Lopez, and Boys II Men are also a part of the cast.

The show is being filmed live on the Warner Brothers Studio Lot in Los Angeles, California and will be using multiple stages, so the action in the show will always be moving location. The actors will reportedly be wearing GoPro cameras during the commercial breaks where they can be seen on Facebook Live running between stages to prepare for the scenes when they go live. How cool is that?

The show also will have a live audience of 650 people split between the different stages. At some moments in the show, the audience will even be featured in parts of the broadcast! Where do I sign up?
