Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick appeared on The Late Late Show Wednesday and teamed up with the British host to perform a soundtrack to a love story. She put her musical pipes to work belting out popular love songs.
Kendrick started off the performance solo, singing Dionne Warwick’s "I Say a Little Prayer" while getting ready. She sat in front of a mirror, putting on her make-up, and then puts on a red robe to meet Corden at a bar. The Into the Woods alum took over belting out "Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh.
The chemistry between the two is obvious. Their relationship then progressed to the next level, hitting the dance floor to sing The Weeknd’s "Can’t Feel My Face." The two heat things up by moving to the bedroom and sing Boyz II Men’s "I’ll Make Love to You." Fast-forward to the next phase, Kendrick and Corden serenade each other with Partridge Family’s "I Think I Love You."
CueBruno Mars’s "Marry You" while Corden and Kendrick get hitched! The bride and groom tied the knot and begin a normal life. The new married couple prepared dinner while concerns of trust and broken hearts began, leading them to duet "Don’t Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and Kiki Dee.
Kendrick caught Corden cheating after she finds a purple bra and he immediately broke into a chorus of Shaggy’s "It Wasn’t Me," which, of course, is a song about infidelity.
Naturally that led to a break up and the emotional Adele breakup ballad "Someone Like You." After the breakup Kendrick and Corden run into each other on the street and belt out Cher’s "Believe" that turns into them making up and twirling around singing Dolly Parton’s "I Will Always Love You."
Aw! Love over powers all. Now Corden and Kendrick can live happily ever after. Check out the hilarious clip now!
