Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed a baby boy, Bronx Mowgli (yeah Mowgli like from the Jungle Book) last night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The baby weighed in at seven pounds and 11 ounces and is 20-1/2 inches long.

A rep for the couple released the following statement:  “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Congrats to the couple and to Ashlee for finally having the baby! Good Lord it seemed like it would never come.
