Five Fun Facts about Camilla Belle

Posted on November 25, 2008 - 12:44pm by loretta Camilla Belle is a not a new face in Hollywood, but her recent success and her relationship with Joe Jonas has brought her into the spotlight.  Many of us had never even heard of Camilla Belle until news broke out that she was dating Joe Jonas, so here are Five Fun Facts about Camille for those of you who want to learn more about the woman who stole Joe's heart away from Taylor.



5. Her Charities

Camilla Belle is an international spokesperson for Kids With a Cause.  Kids With a Cause is a charity that helps children suffering from poverty, hunger, neglect, abuse, or lack of education.



4. Her Parents

Camilla's parents are Cristina Routh, a former fashion designer from Brazil and also her manager, and Jack Routh, the owner of a construction company.



3. Her Career

Camilla began her career as a print ad model at the young age of 9.  She moved on to commercials and starting appearing in movies for cable and network TV.  She was casted in some made- for- TV and straight-to-video films like, Annie: A Royal Adventure and Poison Ivy ll: Lily.  IShe had minor roles in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Practical Magic.  Camilla had her first starring role in 2005 as Rose in The Ballad of Jack and Rose and in 2006 she was given the lead female role in 10,000 B.C.



2. Her Pets

Camilla Belle has three Miniature Pinschers.  Their names are Tokya, Keiki, and Evolet (who is named after her 10,000 B.C. character).

Camilla is an aspiring classical Pianist and speaks fluent Portuguese.  Portuguese is her mother's native language.
