The Top 5 Quotes of the Week

Happy Friday, everyone!  Another week has flown by (at least for me!) and more celebs have shared their inner most wacky thoughts- and I couldn't be more amused!  I don't know about you but sometimes I need an odd celeb quote or two to cheer me up when I have a bad case of the Mondays.

So here are five quotes that kept me amused this week- hope you like 'em too!



5. "I get that all the time.  People are like, “Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.  ” Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, “I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.”  I could never be a lesbian."

- Kelly Clarkson, in an interview with Popeater, about people speculating about her sexuality.  Can someone tell me why lesbians are obsessed with her, please?



4. "I'm going to be licked by millions of Australians and I can't wait."

- Cate Blanchett, after discovering that her face will be put on stamps in her native Australia.  Can you feel the Aussie love?

3. "I don't know...good God!  You're asking the wrong chick!"



- Jennifer Aniston, in an interview with E!, when asked who should say "I love you," in a relationship first.  Can I just say this is a total and epic fail on E!'s part for this question...did they forget she is the most unlucky in love celeb EVER?!

2. "You know your president, the one with the big ears?  He ain't my president—had that woman singing for him at his inauguration.  She's going to get her ass whooped...she had no business up there, singing up there on a big ol' president day, gonna be singing my song that I've been singing forever."



- Etta James, before performing her song, "At Last," at Seattle's Paramount Theatre.  If you lived under a rock for the past month and don't know who she is talking about...the diva means my girl, Beyoncé!  But sadly, I will have to agree with Miss James, it was kinda shady that B got to sing that song at the inauguration and I'm sure Etta James wasn't even invited.

And now, the never-ending battle of the 'Bonnies'... this is a multi-quote one so follow the cat claws closely!

- Faye Dunaway (the original Bonnie Parker), talking smack about Hilary Duff during an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times. Clearly she doesn't think Lizzie McGuire can handle a tommy gun like she can...

Dunaway- 1, Duff- 0.

"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is." (Meaning the legendary, I repeat, lej-uhn-der-ee, Dunaway.)  "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too."



- Hilary Duff, in an interview with E!'s Daily 10, during a break from filming a guest spot on the set of Ghost Whisperer.  Make that score even now!  All I can say about that quote is ZING!!  Wow... looks like we have the lately Hollywood tiff on our hands, people!

I don't know how many times I say it, but celebrities never cease to amaze me when they just let the words fly uninhibited.  It's like they forget they are *always* in the public eye.  Oh well... bad for them, good for us!
