Top Five Quotes of the Week

Another week has passed, and you know what that means- no, not a new President- just more off the wall stylings from some celebs.

And again, I couldn't make these up if I tried.

5. “You get the best beer here– and the best Wiener Schnitzel.”

- Tom Cruise, during an interview at the BILD offices in Berlin.  Even though this is an innocent enough statement, when it comes from Cruise it just seems weird and creepy.

4.  "Yeah. I do that all the time.  And usually at that point I have a mental breakdown and check myself into some kind of hospital.  It is what it is.  I’m not complaining.  I have a really nice life."  She then goes on to say, "I was more into fiddly, arty things.  Like trinkets.  And Drugs.  I was into art and drugs."

- Lily Allen, on talking about the pressures of fame and drugs (no surprise there) in an UK Telegraph interview.  What else is new?  Anyone else besides me getting sick of hearing her talk about drugs?!  Someone needs to introduce her to a new recreational activity- I hear knitting is popular these days...

3. I'm not so afraid of getting old, I'm more afraid of how I'll go.  Fire and tight spaces don't appeal.  A shark would be interesting."

- Brad Pitt, during a news conference while promoting his newest film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Um... morbid much??

2. "I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year...no kissing anyone.  Just my cat, Kitty Purry."

- Katy Perry, in an interview with TVGuide.  Somehow, I don't really believe this celibacy stunt.  Sorry Katy, but there's something about your crazy banana onesies that screams "I get around."

1. "When I get home tonight and look in the mirror, I am not going to regret what I see.  Except maybe some gray hair."

- George W. Bush, to supporters in Texas about President Obama's inauguration.  I won't add in my commentary on this one, I'll let you all just soak that one in.

So another week, and more reasons to ponder why some celebrities say the things they do. I wonder if their publicists are on vacation?

Come back next week for some more profound quotes!
