Dereon Girls ad is just wrong!

Does anyone else think that this ad looks wrong? At first glance it’s kinda cute and than it just turns disturbing. Who would dress their 6 year-old little girl in these outfits, high-heels and all? What happened to little girls wanting to wear princess dresses?

Beyonce and her mom thought that it was a good idea to make little girls look like they were 18. They totally kicked the image of purity and youth out the door when they came up with these little girls outfits for their clothing line Dereon.

PopGumbo had this to say about this Dereon Girls ad, “What is the next ad going to look like? Babies wearing gold metallic bikinis while five-year old boys throw Monopoly money on them.”

Oh please!!! You got such dirty minds if you see any piece of sexuality in this pics, please. They look so funny, like they are just wearing fancy dresses for Halloween or something. Of course any 9 years old will wear high heel shoes but I think is funny for an advertising. They look like they’re just playing.

These ads and clothing line for kids really does exploit children. I can’t believe that Beyonce and her mother don’t see that. Beyonce has exploited her own beautiful looks as a new “American Princess” which is all to the good (I suppose, if that’s the life you want), but to start very young girls off with this attitude (”gold bikini’s and dollar bills”), well no mother I know would want that life for her child. Obviously mothers are not all the same. Unfortunately. Time will tell if Beyonce changes her mind once she and J-Z settle in “for the long haul.” Wonder what tales her eventual biography will tell.

Raising your daughters to be pimped at an even earlier age? I would say NOT. Adults that do this, in my opinion, should be shot.
Nothing more to say here; PopGumbo said it all.

I forgot to thank Tammy, who posted this ad and her comments. Keep up the good work. Yes, this looks “wrong.”
