Britney Spears has donated a 5×4 foot oil painting of herself to the Los Angeles based Promises Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides behavioral health services to low-income women and their children. The portrait came right out of Britney’s home and is listed on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000. Lisa Rogg, directer of Promises Foundation, said,
The Spears family gave us this painting out of their generosity. It was their idea for the auction.
The portrait is autographed by the pop star and accompanied by a letter of
authenticity from Brit’s dad, Jamie, that states, “I hereby verify that the portrait of my daughter, Britney, has been in our home since it was completed by Daniel Maltman.”
That was a pretty thoughtful donation from the Spears family. Perhaps a thank you to Promises for its help in getting Britney mentally stable?
