Britney Spears’ upcoming new single “If You Seek Amy” has been asked to be rerecorded due to it’s controversial lyrics.
The track, which will be Brit’s third single off her new album Circus, plays on words, so when you hear the chorus: “All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin’ to if you seek Amy- with the last four words sounding like “F**k me” when sung quickly. The song title and lyric will be changed to “If You See Amy.”
In 2005, Black Eyed Peas single “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” also faced the same problem after it was misinterpreted for its lyrics.
This song has also been scrutinized for ripping-off The Script’s song “If You See Kay,” both having the same play on word idea. Visit nypost.com to read and hear samples of what I’m talking about.

I don’t think Britney is clever enough to have done this on purpose. Seems to me that people are analyzing lyrics way too much – they should just be enjoying the music (ok, I know it is Britney, but some people actually enjoy her “music”)
